Kuujjuaq Thursday January 8 1998.

This morning the temperatur was minus 27. Fine weather.

At 9:30 p.m. we had a test. There were two skidoos following us, it as Charlie and Sandy from Taqqarmiut Nipingat, from the local tv-station. There were also some cars folloing us, but only to the watersupply place near the lake here in Kuujjuaq.

It is really a great experience to travel in the Arctic. The surface of the snow is hard so it gets very easy to go on by dogsledge. The route to Tasiuyaq, which is the next place is marked with used tanks which are colored orange, so it gets more easy to see them.

About 11:00 o´clock we stopped so have a cup of tea and to take pictures and videotaping the two guys. Also Taqqarmiut Nipingat took some shottings to. We had our clothes on. Very warm and nice.

It was very good for the dogs too. They really enjoyed getting on a hard days work.

Tonight we are going to have ptarmigan for dinner. A gifts from Taqqarmiut Nipingat guys. Thanks to them.
