 The purpose of the
expeditionWith his great experience in the arctic and his earlier expeditions, Ono Fleischer is the natural leader of this expedition. Since the 1970's he had the dream of making a journey around the Inuit countries in the arctic. The journey it self isn't the purpose, but to to make the world aware of its existence and the people who is living in pact with the nature, in a sometimes inhospitable nature, that demands respect. The arctic nature is like a fragile flower, that has to be preserved with a sensitive balance.
At the same time the purpose is to open the eyes of people that the arctic nature not must be destroyed by enviromental pollutions and that the people it self isn't the a threat against the enviroment in these great areas.
Among the purposes of the journey, is to participate in greater knowledge among - INUIT - and to strengthen their consciousness about belonging to one and the same people.
